As a Principal NetSuite Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of NetSuite solutions for enterprise clients. You will provide strategic guidance and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that NetSuite is configured to meet complex business needs and drive operational efficiencies. This role requires deep expertise in NetSuite’s capabilities, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the NetSuite implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

1. NetSuite Implementation & Optimization:





- Lead end-to-end NetSuite implementations, including project scoping, design, configuration, data migration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, and translate them into functional NetSuite solutions.
- Configure NetSuite modules such as Financials, CRM, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Order Management, and others, tailored to the client’s business processes.
- Conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements using NetSuite best practices.
- Optimize and enhance existing NetSuite environments, including streamlining workflows, improving reporting, and automating manual processes.

2. Strategic Advisory & Solution Design:

- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor on NetSuite to guide clients through the decision-making process for selecting and configuring modules and customizations.
- Provide thought leadership to clients by recommending best practices, technologies, and solutions that align with their business goals and drive long-term value.




- Assist clients in identifying areas where NetSuite can improve business processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Advise clients on system architecture, integrations, and scalability to support business growth.

3. Leadership & Project Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of consultants, developers, and project managers, ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing client priorities, timelines, and resources.
- Work closely with client leadership and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates to senior leadership, and ensure proper escalation and resolution of any issues.

4. Client Relationship Management:





- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and proactively identifying opportunities for further engagement.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients post-implementation, including system troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and process improvement.

5. Training & Knowledge Transfer:

- Conduct end-user training sessions, providing clients with the knowledge and tools necessary to maximize the value of NetSuite.
- Develop and deliver documentation, including user guides, training materials, and system architecture documentation.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure the ongoing support and evolution of NetSuite implementations.

Business Development & Pre-Sales Support:

- Participate in pre-sales activities, including client presentations, scoping workshops, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop custom solutions and define project costs, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist in building relationships with new clients and expanding the services offered to existing clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

- NetSuite Expertise: Extensive knowledge of NetSuite ERP, CRM, SuiteCommerce, and SuiteAnalytics. Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing NetSuite to meet specific business needs.
- Module Expertise: Deep experience with key NetSuite modules, including Financials (e.g., GL, AP, AR), Inventory Management, Order Management, Procurement, and CRM.
- SuiteScript:



Experience with SuiteScript for customizations and automation (SuiteScript 1.0/2.0).
- SuiteFlow/SuiteBuilder: Proficient in configuring workflows, custom records, and forms using SuiteFlow and SuiteBuilder.
- Integration Expertise: Familiarity with integrating NetSuite with third-party applications using SuiteTalk (Web Services), RESTlets, or middleware tools (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft).
- Reporting & Analytics: Experience with NetSuite’s reporting and analytics capabilities, including SuiteAnalytics and custom report creation.
- Data Migration & Testing: Expertise in data migration strategies, data mapping, and ensuring accurate data load into NetSuite.

Soft Skills:

- Leadership: Proven experience leading teams and managing large-scale projects. Ability to mentor and develop consultants.
- Client Focus : Strong communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to work closely with clients to define needs, resolve challenges, and build relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and devise effective solutions.
- Project Management: Experience managing complex projects, including resource allocation, scope management, and risk mitigation.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in NetSuite consulting, including at least 3-5 years in a consultant role.
- Experience in leading full-cycle NetSuite implementations and optimizations for medium-to-large businesses.
- Experience in multiple industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesale Distribution, Professional Services) is highly desirable.




- Proven track record of success in business transformation and process improvement using NetSuite.

Education & Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- NetSuite certifications, such as NetSuite SuiteFoundation, NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer, or NetSuite ERP Consultant (highly desirable).
- PMP, Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus.
