Team and Job Overview
The Knowledge Business (KB) team is responsible for creating, managing and delivering digital knowledge solutions to Canadian exporters. The team focuses on working with all solution providers across EDC (and in the ecosystem) to help exporters tackle most of the challenges they face in their exporting journey. The team's primary focus is on helping the small and medium size exporters succeed on the world stage. The team also plays a role in helping other EDC teams bring their solutions to market digitally via MyEDC on edc.ca.
The team is also responsible for the design, development, implementation and management of MyEDC on edc.ca. Also, and more specifically, the team is accountable for the management, fulfillment, performance, and improvement of 12 digital products/solutions and two knowledge partnerships with FITT and MARS. All of these solutions can be found in MyEDC on edc.ca. The team collaborates extensively with EDC's Marketing, Economics, Partnership, Advisory and business development teams to execute upon a joint non-financial solutions strategy to drive higher customer engagement, satisfaction and success.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, hands-on professional interested in and capable of working in product management and continuous improvement. As the Associate/Senior Associate,
you will be responsible for supporting product management processes, supporting team operations, supporting/facilitating team planning, and supporting or leading small to medium sized projects and continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in design thinking, operations management, Agile management systems and tools, continuous improvement, relationship management, lean/agile product development, and analytics reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Associate will manage operational processes and dashboards to enable, support Product Managers (Senior staff) package and deliver to market the team's knowledge solutions.
- Senior Associates, may, at times, take ownership and responsibility to manage select main elements of a product's activities (ie: produce one webinar, one podcast, write an article or Export Help Hub question and answer, etc)
- Senior Associate will perform Agile Scrum Master duties from time to time
- Both roles will identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures and use appropriate lean, design thinking, change methods to address them.
- Associate will support others by carrying out a range of project management activities. Senior Associate will deliver small to medium scale projects.
- Senior Associate will, from time to time, provide the means (eg: research, ideas, solutions) to prototype innovation business cases with the potential to shape the innovation strategy, pipeline, and road map
- Associate will manage Insight, Export Help Hub Inbox and the process for responding to customer requests
- Associate will support the maintenance of the 'Your Focus & Events' sections in MyEDC.
- Both roles will support internal enablement and training activities the team provides to frontline sales staff.
- Both roles will, at times, support or lead the maintenance and monitoring of product performance metrics and achieving corporate customer acquisition targets
- Both roles will prepare internal reports, analysis, presentations and/or other material as required
- Both roles will keep up-to-date with the latest design, web, social and other digital communication trends and technologies
- Senior Associate will conduct research, organizes and participates in customer interviews, coordinates and participates in brainstorming sessions
Screening Criteria
- University Undergraduate degree in Commerce (with focus on innovation, design or marketing), International Business, Design or human-centered design, Communications, Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience for the Associate and a minimum of 3 years for the Senior Associate. The experience could be in research, business development, analytics, marketing, Lean, Agile, or related experience.

Compensation Details:
Associate (12-month Contract) - Knowledge Serv. (Prod Mgmt) grade 15:
- Salaries typically range from $63,894 to $85,194 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Senior Associate (Permanent) - Knowledge Serv. (Prod Mgmt) grade 16 or 17:
- Knowledge Serv. (Prod Mgmt) 16:
- Salaries typically range from $72,840 to $97,121 annually, based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Knowledge Serv. (Prod Mgmt) 17:
- Salaries typically range from $83,037 to $110,717 annually,
based on qualifications and experience, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role will be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa.
