VFS Global, the world’s largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, We are Hiring an Manager / Sr Manager- Business Analyst to manage all Analysis related support at all VAC’s in globe (Based in Ottawa) with overall responsibility of the unit’s efficiency & productivity whilst ensuring compliance to all processes.
Areas Of Responsibility And Brief Description
- Collating & Analysing management information
- Quality Checking and Assurance of Management Information
- Timely and Accurate Client Reporting
- Data Modelling and Forecasting- use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
- Work with external and internal stakeholders to understand and investigate into the service, function or product provided
- Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
- Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholder and senior managers as necessary
- Maintaining monthly data trackers. Using internal and client data to analyse and forecast
- Possible future impacts on business, modelling possible outcomes due to changes in process/contract
- Collating & Analysing management information
- Quality Checking and Assurance of Management Information
- Supporting other AMT project work as necessary
- Shall adhere to environment health and safety policy/objectives and guidelines of the organization
REQUIREMENTS
This is a full time with Health benefits. Not a remote role. Occasional travel to other Cities (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton)
EXPERIENCE
- Must have Education background in IT and Minimum 6-8 years of experience as Business Analyst/Data Analysis with proven expertise in Excel (Pivot tables) and ideally Power BI (DAX)
- Excellent data handling, cleansing and compilation techniques and track record of handling large data sets, with the ability to simplify analytical concepts to communicated with a non-technical audience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the energy and enthusiasm to complete jobs accurately and meet challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work with cross functional, regional and culturally diverse teams
- Support in ongoing projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, identifying risks and issues, reporting progress to core management team
- Monitoring, recording and analysing commercial impact of any new changes, error in reporting
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Graduate in any discipline / Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science,
Engineering or relevant field
KNOWLEDGE & KEY SKILLS:
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and French
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, word and PowerPoint,
- Data analysis and data modelling
- Project support and management
- Power BI
- SQL, RDBMS, data warehousing, SharePoint desirable
- Experience in analysis, basic statistical analysis, Adaptability and presence of mind to handle data
- Ability to Innovate and enhance procedures and methods to increase productivity & cost effectiveness
