The Assistant General Manager role for this professional ultimate frisbee team requires skills including: sales and marketing, operations, design/creative, people management and leadership. The AGM will report directly to the General Manager and the Ownership Group and will be a key contributor the successful execution of: Ticket SalesSponsorship SalesMerchandise SalesTeam OperationsGame Day ManagementYouth ProgrammingVendor Management
Social Media and Content Creation Ticket Sales: The AGM will assist with the ticketing sales strategy and sales plan for paid advertising campaigns and earned media out reach Sponsorship Sales:
AGM will participate on outbound sales outreach to identify and close sponsor sales opportunities Merchandise Sales: AGM will create partnerships with suppliers and oversee purchasing of branded merchandise and other promotional products for re-sale online at our home games. Team Operations: AGM will assist is booking travel for the team and oversee all team events such as sponsor appearances, team meetings, practices and other duties TBD. Game Day Management: AGM must attend all home games and assist with staffing game day rolls such as setup staff, DJ, PA Announcer, Mascot, entertainers etc. Oversee the security plan and liase with the contractors such as beer garden service provider. Youth Programming: AGM will assist in staffing all youth camps and clinics and organize the youth team events at home games. Vendor Management: AGM will be the primary contact for our Vendors and suppliers and will manage all communications and planning with them.
Knowledge, skills, abilities
● Availability to work all home games and team events
● Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and
holidays as needed● Creative design skills and the ability to work with social media platforms including IG, X and FB● Basic understanding of Shopify E-commerce an strong asset
● Previous experience in project and event management● Previous experience in sales and/or service preferred
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide vision and direction
● Strong customer service skills
● Ability to multi‐task, prioritize workload and time manage
● Strong written, verbal and listening skills
● Strong organizational skills, sense of urgency and attention to detail
● Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, business
partners, board members, guests, and fans
● Must display the ability to be resourceful with internal assets
● Ability to think creatively and adapt to quick changes/requests
● Self‐motivated,
ability to take initiative and learn quickly
● Proficient in the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)
● Enthusiastic team player, shows enjoyment and interest in working
collaboratively
