Intermediate Financial Analyst (12-Month Contract)

Location: Mississauga or Halifax (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office)

Our Bell Canada client seeks an experienced Intermediate Financial Analyst to join their team for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, and delivering financial reporting and analysis. Key duties include preparing journal entries, maintaining accounting records, assisting with month-end close activities, and completing complex account analysis and reconciliations. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing operating expense variance analyses and ensuring appropriate financial controls are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate, prepare,



and deliver financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist with month-end close activities.
- Complete complex account analysis and reconciliations in a timely manner.
- Prepare operating expense variance analyses and forecasts.
- Maintain appropriate financial controls to ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Manage high volumes of financial data, synthesize information, and make strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with project teams on cost allocation exercises, ensuring accurate cost coding.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and financial trend analysis.

Qualifications:

- Accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Expertise in financial systems and data reconciliation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong forecasting abilities and analytical skills.




- Experience in financial analysis, cost allocation, and reconciliation of high data volumes.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and project stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
