CA$26 - CA$32 per hour (based on experience)We Offer:Competitive wages based on experiencePaid time offFurther education and training opportunitiesOpportunities for career advancementComprehensive benefits packageCompany supplied uniform and phoneWork-life balance with no weekends or late nightsResponsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including light and medium-duty trucks, vans, specialty service vehicles, and equipmentConduct regular inspections to identify and address mechanical issues as per Ministry of Transportation guidelinesDiagnose and resolve engine, transmission, brake, suspension, tire, and electrical system issuesEstimate time and material costs for fleet/vehicle repairsInitiate service calls for emergency breakdowns as neededTrack, document, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair services performedCoordinate with Fleet Manager to ensure timely servicing of all vehiclesStay updated on advancements in vehicle technology and maintenance practicesEnsure compliance with Ontario health & safety standards, as well as company policiesCommunicate with the Fleet Manager for approval of material purchases as neededConduct off-site service calls for fleet maintenance and repairPerform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, carrying, prolonged standing/walking,
and tool/equipment usageAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:Valid 310S license required or in-progress through existing apprenticeshipCertification as an Automotive Service Technician/Truck & Coach or equivalent considered an assetMinimum 2+ years of experience in the heavy truck/equipment industry as a licensed mechanicProven experience with both gas and diesel enginesStrong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various automotive and technical systemsKnowledge of hydraulic systems considered an assetProficiency with hand/electric tools and equipment related to vehicle maintenanceAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectivelyStrong verbal and written communication skillsPossess a valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean driving record (Commercial driving license considered an asset)Ability to commute to Markham, ON for work (no relocation fee provided)Additional Information:Interviews will be held in-person with the Fleet ManagerA clean driver’s abstract may be required
