As the Supervisor of Procurement and Warranty, you will lead, manage, and provide structure for the Branch's procurement and warranty processes. You will manage a high volume of procurements, monitor all procurements, and ensure compliance with procurement directives, policies, and procedures. You will also oversee the processing of warranty claims, negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers, and advocate for solutions that minimize cost impacts and increase asset reliability. Your leadership, financial acumen, and commitment to continuous improvement will be essential to your success in this role.

What Will You Do?

- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of procurement and warranty professionals,



fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee the Branch's procurement portfolio, ensuring compliance with City policies, procedures, and trade agreement requirements
- Manage and resolve conflicts between internal stakeholders during the procurement and contract phases
- Monitor and track procurement plan performance, resolving any issues that may arise
- Oversee the processing of warranty claims, including negotiations and recoveries
- Develop and maintain procurement-related dashboards and reports to ensure portfolio visibility and performance
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Corporate/Department contract and supplier management framework
- Communicate and adhere to the City of Edmonton's Safety Management System, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment

Qualifications:

- Knowledge, training and/or experience in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Law, or a related field
- Experience in a leadership role within a large, complex organization including experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier management

Assets:





- Certification or coursework/training in procurement and contract management, such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO)
- Certification or coursework/training in financial management, public administration, change management, project management, or other leadership training

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Thorough understanding of procurement and contract management principles, best practices, and industry standards




- Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in using contract management tools, dashboards, and software applications

Conditions of employment and work environment:

- Up to: 1 permanent, full-time position
- Hours of work: 36.9 hours per week, Monday - Friday. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite.
- Salary Range: $89,766.30 - $128,237.58 (Annually)
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent). Must arrange own transportation to be reimbursed in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. This may require business auto insurance
- Hire is dependent on a Criminal Records Check (CRC) security clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement




- Management and Out-of-Scope positions at the City of Edmonton are being reviewed for possible inclusion in the Civic Service Union 52 bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly
