The individual will apply industry standards and best practices to ensure project success, resolve technical issues, and mentor team members throughout the project lifecycle.This is a temporary full time backfill position (12-18 months)



commencing in February 2025.Key AccountabilitiesProvides oversight on the technical design development of the SkyTrain stations and the associated work with the rest of the SLS project in the multi-contract implementation from implementation to completion.Reviews the technical requirements, scope, and interface management of the Stations Contract in the technical submittals, including the documents under the Construction Approval Process.Manages the Owner’s Engineer team in the engineering input to the technical submittal reviews and responses to technical queries during implementation.Reviews engineering deliverables and initiates appropriate corrective action to address issues throughout the project lifecycle.Monitors, tracks, and reviews the contractor’s technical and design plans, methodologies, documents, drawings,



and scheduling changes.Provides advice, guidance and support on technical issues related to design submissions, traffic management, scheduling and construction.Provides direct oversight on the technical matters of the Stations Contract, maintains compliance with work and industry standards, and balances competing demands against project scope, time, cost and quality.Attends technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including the Fire and Life Safety Committee.Prepares technical advisory information and materials to support engagement activities with the public and stakeholder groups (e.g., municipalities during the Stations Design Advisory Process).Provides mentorship to developing members of the teamDevelops standardized project documentation and processes to promote consistency across the project,



improve current and future delivery of the project, and support employee training.Assesses project plans and processes to identify areas requiring improvement and make recommendations that support project success.QualificationsBachelor of Engineering or Architectural degree and significant experience relating to the planning, design, and construction of major capital transportation projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preference may be given to applicants who are registered, or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC) or Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC)Valid BC Driver’s license.Thorough knowledge of conceptual, preliminary,
