Job Summary:
Provide admin support to help ensure efficient HR policies, procedures and practices for optimal operations of human resources for SNS, CSIA and PSO members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Human Resource Management
- Supports HR & Org. Development Lead with responding to inquiries from employees, managers and PSOs for advice and support regarding recruitment, training and development, employment legislation, policy, etc.
- Provides admin support for the group insurance, EFAP and pension programs.
Recruiting
- Supports the recruitment and selection process: posts job ads, preliminary screening of resumes, coordinates interview schedules, assists with interview guide, conducts reference checks and may participate on the interview panel.
- Provides timely updates to hiring managers.
- Advises unsuccessful candidates
- Provides select written correspondence to candidates and employees
- Manages exit arrangements for employees
Orientation and On-boarding
- Orientates new employees on payroll, benefits, and entitlements. Coordinates staff introductions for new employees.
- Ensures proper documentation is completed and adds or updates employee records.
Training and Development
- Assists with booking and planning training, development, and PD initiatives for staff
- Helps compile data and reports on training enrollment and completion
Employee Engagement
- Assists with planning and implementation of employee engagement initiatives
- Responsible for sending out and compiling satisfaction surveys
HR Data Management and Administration
- Maintains up-to-date personnel files including compensation and benefits, attendance, etc. Provides reports on such information as needed
- Provides admin support with HRIS
- Liaises with Payroll to ensure data is up to date
Occupational Health and Safety Committee
- Sits on OH&S; committee
- Assist with staff orientations and ongoing training.
Team Participation
- Builds and maintains effective and collaborative networks and relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Participates regularly in staff meetings, events, and staff training
Payroll and Benefit Reconciliation
- Process bi-weekly payroll for internal staff using Payworks.
- Manage employee profiles and supplemental benefit payments using the payroll Software, including; creating and removing employee profiles, modifying EFT routes, adding and removing benefit payments
- Reconcile monthly insurance bill for SNS staff, enrolled PSO’s, and CSIA for the Finance department
