Summary:

The Client Team (comprising Client Services and Client Development functions) undertakes a wide range of responsibilities in driving Billups’ business forward, developing and nurturing client and partner relationships. As part of our Client Services function,



the Account Director role collaborates closely with reports, peers, Senior Account Director(s) and Business Director(s) in:

Core Role Duties:

Media Planning & Buying:

- Responsible for leading the day-to-day management of your team to ensure they effectively service clients and proactively contribute to growing client and agency business. Ensuring a thorough understanding of your client's strategies, objectives, and the KPIs Billups must
- deliver for them.
- Ensure Client Development function support through Client Services function creation of, or access to, materials or content.
- Lead the creation and presentation of strategic visions, storytelling, and frameworks to clients, ensuring alignment with KPIs. Demonstrate expertise in translating complex ideas into actionable strategies that drive client success.
- Develop your team in learning strategic storytelling skills and inclusion of rationale and strategy in all media plans and client communications.
- Develop comprehensive media plans that effectively utilize client budgets to achieve optimal results,



ensure use of clear strategic approach, insights and rationale.Review and approve media-related contracts as necessary, ensuring compliance with agency standards and client expectations.
- Lead and oversee the entire planning process, from conception to execution. Ensure all media plans meet the strategic objectives and operational standards of both the agency and the clients. Manage respective accounts diligently, keeping senior leadership informed with critical business updates.
- Leadership and oversight on mid to large complex plans ensuring recommendations meet the client's objectives and strategies. Ensure utilization of MOCA opportunities and engagement with the Investment Team on relevant opportunities.

Project Management:

- Responsible for share file drive management, ensuring documents and content are saved in the relevant folders.



Ensuring client and media vendor documents and folders are regularly updated within our directory.
- Responsible for ensuring the timely activation of media campaigns by downline employees.
- Direct campaign reporting for your clients - overseeing access to ‘Proof of Posting (POP)’ and Campaign Attribution, ensuring this is received by clients and/or their agencies in a timely fashion.
- Drive consistency in our work through self and team adoption of the appropriate templates and guidelines. Delivering operational excellence as an individual and with your team.
- Juggle multiple project deadlines without compromising quality.
- Control of your team’s calendars regarding the arrangement of team meetings or presentations.

Relationships:

- Develop strong long-term relationships with your day-to-day and senior agency, client,



and media vendor contacts, building trust and collaboration. Drive this across your team and put relationship mapping in place.
- Attend relevant client/partner/industry events. Travel, as required.
- Direct daily supplier relationships, regarding the development and execution of industry-leading OOH planning.

Thought Leadership:

- Develop and grow your industry knowledge and that of your team through meeting and event attendance, company training, conducting site visits, and engaging with Billups’ communication platforms.
- Ensure knowledge and best practices are shared across the whole Client Team and business; adhering to the associated budgets.
- Advocate and implement Billups’ regional mission/vision/purpose, strategies, platform, and services across your clients.




- Attend and help lead wider company initiatives including supporting new business pitches, social events, town halls etc. Ensuring the same across the Client Services function.
- Stay up to date on the OOH media landscape and demonstrate a knowledgeable opinion on client and supplier news and activity. Ability to identify relevant studies and include the data and insights into media strategy and client decks and communications.

Business Development:

- Work to develop and convert new business opportunities, collaborating closely across relevant departments and with team leadership and Client Development colleagues in doing so.
- Help your SAD(s) and BD(s) identify ways of delivering organic and diversified revenue growth, developing and converting new business opportunities, and establishing target plans against key accounts and categories.
- Compile accurate,



updated business planning and forecasting across your clients. Working with your Senior Account Director(s) to identify potential challenges and develop solutions.
- Ensure team utilization and activation of client gross and team margin goals as it relates to daily planning and opportunities.
- Help ensure annual budget delivery for your clients, linking closely to your Senior Account Director(s) and Finance Team to maintain tracking and oversight.
- Translate client interactions into actionable insights for forecasting, collaborating closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD) and Business Director (BD) to align these insights with overall business objectives. This role requires a proactive approach to client service and strategic account oversight to drive client satisfaction and business growth.

Client Services Leadership:





- Ownership of a large set of accounts within the team and overseeing multiple levels of direct and indirect reports.
- Direct the resolution of any campaign issues or discrepancies across your clients, drawing upon wider internal and external support as needed. Coaching your team in resolving issues.
- Foster a revenue-generating mindset, collaborating closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD), Business Director (BD), and Investment teams to focus on key priority areas such as margin improvement, negotiations, and trade deals. Build confidence in applying these principles within your work and guide junior staff through the process. Proactively recognize and flag opportunities with partners to drive business growth and strategic advantage.

Required Media Experience:

- A strong knowledge of the OOH media landscape, demonstrating a knowledgeable opinion on client and supplier news and activity.
- Experience prospecting, researching, and data mining for business leads and opportunities.
- Wide experience in negotiating pricing and booking campaigns.
- Some experience conducting analyses to support strategic decision-making and create forward visibility.
- Strong reasoning: the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to analyse and synthesize large amounts of data in order to identify and present meaningful observations and recommendations.
- The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Being able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, email communication and CRM software.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in advertising, marketing, or related media field with a preferable background in OOH; 8 or more years of experience in media planning and development especially OOH background; or equivalent combination

of education and experience.
