Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.

Orla operates the Camino Rojo oxide gold mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas, Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting on our South Railroad project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin Trend in Nevada.





Our strategy is to build a gold company through the exploration and acquisition of assets we can develop and operate in a way that provides benefit to the shareholders, employees, and the societies where we work.

The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of project development from studies through to commercial production including all project controls to safely deliver the projects. This role will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with our executive team in Canada and site General Managers and Project Managers.

Responsibilities include:

· Oversee all site project studies.

· Provide advice and technical expertise to site teams on complex or critical project design, monitoring, and execution.

· Strong leadership and coordination with site General Managers and execution teams to ensure successful and predictable delivery of projects across the company.

· Develop, prioritize, and submit project plans and budgets.

· Ensure optimal use of resources to support project requirements and schedule.

· Provide strategic direction and leadership for engineering,



procurement, health & safety, and construction activities.

· Oversee the negotiation with vendors and approve agreements and partnerships to ensure favorable terms and conditions for Orla.

· Implement project control tools that enable efficient management of project execution, budget, schedule, and Environmental, Health & Safety issues.

· Conduct monthly project reviews, audits, and in-depth analysis to monitor progress and performance, define corrective actions if needed to address any issues, and ensure successful project completion.

· Monitor existing laws and regulations and proposed legislation and regulations to determine impacts on current and potential projects.

· Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with site teams, contractors, and external stakeholders’ key to the project’s success.





· Monthly reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

· Quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors.

· Design a systematic approach to project management, with a global application mindset.

Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Mining, Metallurgy).

· 20+ years of experience working in Operations, Engineering, or Construction within the mining industry.

· Minimum 10 years of experience as a manager or higher in project management roles.

· More than 5 years preparing NI43-101 technical reports, construction, and permitting.

· Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

· Proven track record of delivering projects on time and under budget, while successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.





· Good understanding of financial reports and project and operations budgets.

· Expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams including consultants.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations, and work effectively with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

· Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, and team building.

· Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills. Spanish communication skills are an asset.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering manuals, drawings, plans, specifications, layouts, and schematics.

· Professional Eng/QP.

· PMP certification preferred.

· Good computer skills and previous experience with project management tools.
