Our client is looking for a Sr. Software Developer ( FHIR and Interoperability) to support ongoing projects within the health industry.

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled FHIR and Interoperability Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with FHIR standards, healthcare interoperability frameworks, and hands-on development skills to support the design, implementation, and optimization of healthcare data exchange solutions. This role will require you to work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain systems that facilitate seamless data sharing and integration between various healthcare platforms.

Must Have's:

- Strong experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)

- Proficiency in integrating healthcare systems using FHIR APIs, RESTful services, and other interoperability standards (HL7, CDA, CCD, etc.).
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats, such as HL7, CCD, and CDA, and experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability challenges and best practices.
- Experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and web technologies (e.g., REST, JSON, XML).
- Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement FHIR-based solutions to improve healthcare interoperability and data exchange across systems.
- Integrate healthcare systems with FHIR APIs and other interoperability standards (HL7, CDA, CCD, IHE, etc.).
- Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using FHIR and related technologies.
- Develop custom modules, connectors,



and interfaces for seamless data exchange across disparate healthcare platforms.
- Implement security best practices for data transmission, ensuring compliance with regulations such as HIPAA.
- Troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to ensure that interoperability solutions align with business objectives and meet healthcare standards.
- Stay current with the latest developments in healthcare technology and FHIR standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support for FHIR implementation and interoperability initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use.
- Experience with healthcare integration platforms (e.g., Mirth, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure,



Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Previous experience with clinical data standards, clinical decision support, or telehealth solutions.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
