Job Summary
The Medicine Program of NL Health Services, Urban Zone has an immediate opening for one full-time, fee for service Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology in St. John's, NL.
As part of the Gastroenterology division, you will participate in an equal share of province wide on-call for Gastroenterology with our current complement of gastroenterologists. The successful candidate will have an equal share of elective and urgent inpatient endoscopy time. The individual will be responsible for in and outpatient gastroenterology services including seeing new patients as well as follow up on existing patients. This position has 3 half day endoscopy slots per week.
The position is affiliated with Memorial University and is the primary training center for medical students and residents. Supervision of medical learners in a clinical setting would be an expectation.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Degree.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (or equivalent) in Gastroenterology is required (letter of eligibility may may considered).
- Deemed eligible for licensure to practice by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. For more information visit: [email protected] .
