What you can expect from this position:
The Senior Advisor, Talent is pivotal in guiding individuals to understand their strengths and areas of growth through the GTAA Leadership Behaviour model. It involves coaching on personal and team development actions and brings talent programs to life that support the growth and development of our people. The role delivers critical talent management work and support development experiences across the company. Given the cross-ecosystem dimension embedded in the talent management function, this role closely works with key members across the HR team and directly with leaders and employees across the business as a trusted talent advisor.
As a Senior Advisor, Talent you will:
- Act as a role model and ambassador of the GTAA Leadership Behaviours
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders within the HR team and across all levels of the business
- Act as a trusted advisor between HR and the broader business to facilitate talent management initiatives efficiently and effectively
- Deliver tactful and supportive talent conversations such as assessment debriefs with employees and leaders, provide 1:1 coaching on developing outcome based Individual Development Plans and support talent review conversations for all levels of employees, including debriefs at the Senior Leadership level for their direct reports
- Support and facilitate localized talent management and talent review discussions including support for identifying development opportunities and succession planning for key leadership roles
- Collect and summarize talent information and relay insights to inform talent decisions between the business and HR
- Act with diplomacy,
tact and discretion managing and maintain sensitive and confidential talent data ensuring it is accurate and error free
- Interact, advise, and influence all levels of the business and activate participation with frontline employees
- Provide regular updates on the progress, results, and outcomes of programs to key members of the Human Resources team and leaders
- Harmonize business needs with proposed timing of HR program delivery and continuously look for ways to simplify and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Deliver barrier-free programming for all employees and continually provide observations, feedback and input to review practices to elevate and support equity deserving groups
The salary for this non-unionized position is competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications
This is the role for you, if you have:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, General Business, or related field
- 3 years’ experience in an HR-focused role concentrating on talent management, talent development, or organizational development or similar experience coaching and mentoring employees without a direct reporting relationship
- 3 years’ experience with a demonstrable track record of excellent project or program management skills successfully running and implementing cross-functional initiatives at scale and change management
- 2 years of relationship management experience across different business lines with 1 year of experience working with and influencing Senior Leader level members of an organization
- Ability to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance

- Ability to effectively and quickly analyze large amounts of data, develop insights, actions, and compelling narratives
- Advanced technology and systems skills including Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams etc.) and Talent management systems (i.e., HRIS)
- Ability to work collaboratively across various functions in an uncertain, constantly evolving environment
- Advanced relationship management and influence skills
- Excellent ability to demonstrate inclusive behaviours act as a champion and advocate for promoting and driving diversity, equity, and inclusive practices in talent programming
