Sr. IT Project Manager to support our public sector client's Cyber Security initiatives - RFBG 24169

Duration: 12 months + 6 months extension, 37.5h/week (Jan 2025 - Jun 2026)

Location: Occasional Onsite in North York, ON (but mainly remote)

Job Responsibilities:

These initiatives include Identity and Access management (MFA enhancements), Network Access, Infrastructure and Network Build and Deploy (Windows servers, Windows EndUser devices, Firewalls, Load balancers), Mobile Build and Deploy.

- Plan, Design, and Implement key projects under the client's Security Program
- Manage project partnerships with external vendors, contractors, service providers, Senior Management teams, the client and other internal and external stakeholders.




- Prepare project plans by producing project work breakdown structures, project charter & schedules and by ensuring implementation, contingency, risk management, communications, quality assurance & staffing plans are completed.
- Ensure stakeholder signoff / approval is obtained at each step of Project Management Life Cycle.
- Effectively manage the allocation of project funds dedicated to the delivery of assigned projects, and ensuring cost criteria is met.
- Perform project control / tracking / reporting by ensuring that day-to-day management of project working groups, including assigned staff is conducted
- Schedule and conduct project meetings including technical team, working groups, steering committee.
- Ensure appropriate project governance is in place
- Engage in quality assurance reviews of project
- Participates in project meetings. Prepares status updates, issues and risks reports for project status update meetings when required
- Responsible for capturing and following up on issues, risks,



actions and decisions; escalating to PMO as required

Must haves:

- 10+ years of experience as an IT project manager, managing IT projects
- 3-5+ years of PM experience in network, security, and infrastructure projects
- Previous experience in IAM/MFA enhancement projects, Network Access, Infrastructure & Network Build and Deploy
- PMP certification
- Experience with projects in the public sector/unionized environments.

Nice to haves:

- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Cloud Services (SaaS, PaaS), Backup and Recovery, Network and Infrastructure, Windows, Linux
