Sr. Information Security Architect to implement Microsoft O365 products with our public sector client - RFBG 24169
Duration: 12 months + 6 month extension (Jan 2025 - Jun 2026) 37.5h/week
Location: Occasional Onsite in North York, ON (mostly remote)
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains the Security Infrastructure and Solution architecture and associated standards, policies and guidelines; ensures that the architecture ‘concepts’ are communicated and accepted within the enterprise.
- Implements and maintains the Security Infrastructure and Solution architecture from top to bottom to ensure that performance is optimal and not compromised and aligns to the overall strategy, roadmap and selected solutions.
- Conducts current state assessment on all Security Technology components such as Platform, Network, Security, Data Management, Collaboration tools, Application, IT Service Management, Integration.
- Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining Security Infrastructure and Solution direction and enabling business strategy.
- Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise if required.
- Participates in Architecture/IT Security Review Committee and ensures that Security Infrastructure and Solution architecture standards are complied with and that any exceptions are managed with a view to minimize security and enterprise risks.
- Proposes and implements industry best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assesses opportunities for network and Security Infrastructure and Solution and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
- Researches and recommends new security technologies to support the business; participates in system and solution selection.
- Design and implement secure security architectures for networks, systems, and applications.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
Must haves:
- 10+ years of experience as Security Architect
- Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF or SABSA, and CISSP or SABSA
- Experience implementing Microsoft O365 Products, Advanced Threat Protection, Azure/Azure Sentinel, Active Directory
- Experience with DDI, PAM (Preferably CyberArk), Email security (Cisco), DLP (Microsoft, Avast), Network intrusion detection/prevention (Cisco firewall, F5 ASA functionality), Web application firewall, SIG (Zscalar), Vulnerability management (tenable.io), SIEM, IP Management, PKI and Certificate Management, Mobile security, IOT security for buildings.
- Experience migrating workload from Data Centers to Azure Cloud
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software, Linux and Unix is a plus.
