Marshall Canada requires a Senior Manager, Purchasing and Supply Chain in Ottawa, ON, or Moncton, NB to join our team. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to take on this leadership role for the Procurement and Supply Chain (P≻) practice in Canada. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations for Canada, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of corporate practices across all programs and collaborating with Program Managers to develop local supply chains in support of the LVM Program and others as applicable.
As the Lead for P≻, the incumbent will play a key leadership role within the Marshall NORAM organization,
operating in a matrix structure and reporting functionally to the Group Purchasing and Supply Chain Director. This role will be pivotal in developing, implementing, and delivering purchasing and supply chain services that align with Marshall NORAM’s objectives and global standards.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing strong leadership and developing sourcing strategies that not only drive operational efficiency but also contribute to the achievement of broader organizational goals. This position will also focus on embedding standardized best practices across the global P≻ function to ensure top-tier performance and service delivery across Marshall NORAM’s supply chain operations.
Your responsibilities in the role:
- Lead the development of a Purchasing and Supply Chain organization in NORAM.
- Ensure that group wide Category Strategies, Process and Tools consider the requirements of NORAM and are implemented in NORAM by the global P≻ team and tailored accordingly for the region, by agreement of the P≻ function leadership.
- Act as key functional leader and point of escalation for key regional subcontract managers and supply performance issues across NORAM.
- Coordinate with Bid Management team to ensure sufficient P≻ resources are available to support all Bids, some of which may be outside of the region.
- Ensure P≻ process and governance complies with Marshall Group delegation of authority.
- Actively support and resource critical bids and projects from a P≻ perspective.
- Support new supplier identification and supplier selection, negotiations of sub-contracts / purchase orders, and any onboarding activities.
- Develop and communicate global category strategy requirements of NORAM to Global Category Managers.
- Ensure Purchase Order management is aligned to the processes and tools used by the Purchasing Shared Service.
- Work with Marshall stakeholders to optimize inventory levels to meet operational demands,
identifying inventory management and control strategies to minimize costs and actively reduce excess stockholdings.
- Optimize use of business warehousing (stores) facilities whilst implementing best practice stores management and controls to deliver efficiency improvements.
- Work with cross-functional team to manage supplier performance through all phases of the procurement life cycle; sourcing, RFP preparation, evaluation, execution to delivery /completion.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and re-forecasts as required of department budgets.
- Provide leadership support to the development and commissioning of the Greensboro, NC facility plus the design, engagement, and mobilization of the production supply base.
- Monitor and report supplier performance to business and functional leaders.
- Meet regularly with senior business and functional leaders.
- Guarantee and demonstrate functional process compliance to required industry standards across the group.
- Develop and implement the reporting of functional KPIs aligned to business requirements.

Apply if you have most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field Designation in supply chain management such as SCMP or APICS Supply Chain Certifications (CPIM/CSCP) is highly desirable.
- 7+ years of experience working within a P≻ function in a global engineering business.
- Managing and working within a diverse global team
- Strong background in managing and leading of Purchasing teams.
- Strong networker and communicator
- Highly capable at defining and implementing a P≻ strategy.
- Proactively anticipates and mitigates risk.
- Role model with the highest levels of personal accountability encourage this in others and take on accountability beyond own role.
- Competent and confident individual with commercial acumen, extensive experience within Sourcing and Supply Chain management.
- Familiar with the development, deployment, and use of MRP systems.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects in parallel with outstanding organizational acumen.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations and security regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian Government Security requirements
