Position Overview
The Brand and Product Specialist will be tasked with growing UNIQLO’s brand and product awareness within Canada. You will assist in creating 360’ product marketing plans to align global marketing directions with local needs. This role involves working with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and implement strategies using a variety of media and customer touch-points. You will be responsible for communicating key messages to defined target audiences to grow UNIQLO’s Brand equity in Canada.
Job Description
- Assisting to build brand awareness and positioning through effective product marketing
- Creating seasonal/monthly marketing strategies and plans for key products
- Identifying new customers and growth opportunities
- Defining and evaluating competitors and UNIQLO’s points of differentiation within the Canadian market
- Proposing both short-term and long-term marketing strategies with strong analysis in market opportunity, previous sales history, marketing spending vs. net sales, local trends, etc.
- Supporting the management of the by-seasonal and by-annual marketing budget with analysis on return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
- Managing agency relationships and conducting briefings for marketing plan development and execution
- Assisting in the creation of new partnerships and programs to increase UNIQLO’s brand awareness, sales, and customer traffic to stores
- Assisting with in-store and in-market product marketing events
- Closely communicating with external agencies to screen incoming proposals and business opportunities
Desired Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, business management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in developing marketing campaigns, strategies, and executing plans
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
- Previous experience managing a marketing agency is considered an asset
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a team-based environment
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Thriving in a hands-on working environment
