This is a full-time role,
reporting into Finance with full responsibility of daily tactical freight- logistics- warehousing- distribution transportation- order management and similar and will also be fully responsible for all Operational Continuous Improvement initiatives, data analysis in tariffs, claims, warranty, warehouse, inventory and similar . This is based in North York – Markham - Scarborough – East Toronto, ON area and will require minimum 3 days a week from office.Senior Operations Specialist – Inventory / Freight / Tariffs / Warrantyis fully responsible for Supply Chain, inventory transfers within DCs, replenishment, allocation, freight, logistics and Distribution. You will be the point of contact for all 3rd party carriers, select and manage their performance for imports of finished goods inventory, distribution to DCs and stores nationally. This is a daily tactical role with strong emphasis on Continuous Improvement - optimise inventory, warehouses, carriers, load consolidation, warranty claims, aftermarket service, repairs, parts and similar. You will analyse existing data on SAP and use MS Excel and other analytical tools to find opportunities to improve operating costs, spends and similar. This is an operational Continuous Improvement role, analyse data, conduct Root Cause Analysis, implement corrective actions,
write revise SOPs around freight, warehousing, warranty, tariffs, claims and similar.Senior Operations Specialist – Inventory / Freight / Tariffs / Warranty will have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Supply Chain / Logistics/ Distribution with ADVANCED Excel ( NO EXCEPTIONs ), previous experience of data mining large files on freight, claims, inventory, repairs, aftermarket and similar. Strong experience in tactical daily Supply Chain / logistics working closely with 3rd party carriers. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting or similar are highly preferred. Certifications/ advanced diploma in transportation / Freight / Logistics, CCLP or similar preferred, working towards CPA but with strong Supply Chain experience can be considered. SAP, TMS (Transportation Management System), WMS, Power BI is ideal.
Excellent English communication skills ae a MUST, ability to work directly with 3rd party carriers, freight forwarders, supply teams, warehousing , Finance analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset is a MUST.
