The Opportunity:

Aviso is seeking a dynamic, visionary VP, Marketing to lead our marketing organization, driving innovation, growth, and impact across our flagship brands: Aviso, Qtrade,



and NEI.

Reporting to the SVP, Client Experience, Marketing and Communications, you will join the Client Experience, Marketing and Communications leadership team. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of wealth management marketing in Canada by building on our strong foundation and setting new standards for excellence.

As VP, Marketing, you will oversee a high-performing team of professionals, and you will lead and manage our agency of record partnership. This role spans Product Marketing, Brand Management, Research and Insights, Marketing Operations, Events, Marketing Communications, Sponsorships, and Creative Services. You will lead, develop and execute marketing strategies for Aviso, Aviso Wealth, Aviso Insurance, Aviso Correspondent Partners, Qtrade, and NEI that drive brand presence, client acquisition, client engagement, and revenue growth across all business lines.

The VP, Marketing will have strong people leadership that is able to inspire others as they collaborate across the business including line of business leaders, compliance,



and product development to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.

What your day looks like:

Strategic Leadership

- Set a compelling marketing vision and strategy across all business lines aligned with Aviso’s “oneaviso” culture and strategic objectives
- Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities
- Build and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Act as a trusted advisor on strategic marketing, initiatives and activities
- Quickly react to the changing market conditions and competitive dynamics and must reshape, as needed, the company's strategy and execution plans based on real-time market scenarios
- Collaborate closely with other business lines and functions to ensure alignment and optimize marketing efforts.




- Provide strategic input to the executive team on marketing-related decisions
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills; a rich blend of analytical, creative, and strategic talents to win the confidence of his/her staff and peers. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams with professionalism and clarity

Brand and Market Growth

- Enhance brand recognition for Aviso, Aviso Wealth, Aviso Correspondent Partners, Aviso Insurance, Qtrade, and NEI, ensuring a unified, yet distinct market presence
- Develop strategies to strengthen Aviso’s market leadership in wealth management and financial services.
- Elevate the visibility of Aviso and our businesses
- Oversee all brand and creative strategy, along with its direction, to ensure the brand tenets are serving the overall company vision

Client Acquisition and Engagement





- Oversee the development and execution of effective customer acquisition and retention campaigns and marketing content across various channels to drive client acquisition, deepen existing relationships, and optimize customer lifetime value
- Lead the creation of targeted campaigns for key segments across business lines
- Ensure marketing strategies are informed by deep customer insights, data analytics, and market research

Operational Excellence

- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI
- In partnership with Client Experience, drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media, content, and email marketing
- Partner with product, compliance, and business units to align marketing efforts with organizational goals.




- Lead a marketing project management function that drives efficiency in the delivery of marketing campaigns, initiatives and with an eye towards outcomes

Innovation and Data-Driven Decisions

- Lead and manage client research to help drive client driven decision making and strategies
- Leverage data analytics and client insights to optimize campaign performance and inform strategic decisions
- Champion innovative marketing technologies, tools, and AI-driven approaches to scale operations
- Build strategic partnerships with complementary businesses to drive growth and awareness

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

Required/Related Experience;

- The finance/wealth management industry is constantly evolving, and the VP must be able to stay ahead of industry trends and adapt the marketing strategy accordingly.



This includes being open to new technologies and marketing channels, as well as being able to experiment with different approaches
- The VP should have a deep understanding of the target audience and their needs. This knowledge should be used to develop marketing campaigns that resonate with customers and drive engagement
- The VP should be able to leverage data analytics to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance

Qualifications;

- Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus
- Previous VP experience with 15+ total years in marketing, at least 10 years in a leadership role
- Experience working in wealth management, understanding of the financial, wealth industry and market trends, including regulatory landscape, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies for high-growth companies, preferably with a finance/wealth
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for innovation
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities, with the ability to leverage data insights to optimize marketing strategies
- Deep understanding of both traditional and digital marketing
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to convene diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to challenge standard ways of thinking, through providing innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions
- Skill and ability to lead organizational change in a manner that fosters collaboration among internal stakeholders and achieves Aviso’s strategic objectives
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $220,000 - $250,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
