Our crown corporation client is seeking a Senior AP Manager to oversee Accounts Payable operations (team of 17) and implement KPIs for individuals and teams by role in a unionized environment.

Permanent Full-time Role (Annual Salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00). Hybrid: minimum 2 days/week in Burnaby. 37.5 hours/week.

Must Have:

- 6+ years Accounts Payable experience with previous supervisory experience
- SAP or other AP ERP systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related degree or equivalent

Nice to Have:

- Worked in unionized environments (knowledge of MoveUp collective agreement (or other similar agreements))
- Certified Professional Accounting (CPA) designation

Environment:





- Reporting to the Supply Chain Programs Manager, the Accounts Payable (“AP”) Manager is responsible for managing and providing strong leadership to a team of unionized staff and AP Service Centre management to ensure the overall success. For success in this role, you will be able to implement KPIs for individuals and teams by role in a unionized env’t, manage thoughtfully to those KPIs while building team confidence and knowledge, and have a vision for continuous improvement using both technology and process improvement.
- The AP Manager provides oversight and manages the day-to-day service operations of Accounts Payable.
- Manages ~17 people, includes 1 manager and 16 union across 5 different roles
- Organization has ~140000 invoices annually, about 80% are automated via SAP Ariba, balance are processed by AP team.

Current team is comprised of:

- 1 Manager, Service Centre: Manages Service Centre,



non union role, responsible to update all knowledge centre information with updated / current process/technical information
- 2 AP Service Centre Specialist, Resolution of supplier payment issues escalated to the Accounts Payable Service Centre (APSC). Provides advisory and support services related to supplier payments and invoicing procedures.
- 1 Sr. WL, Provides work leadership over the Accounts Payable Analyst job, Accounts Payable Administration team and supports the Accounts Payable Manager
- 2 WL, Lead the work performed by AP admin; review work for QA, respond to inquiries; approvals for VM and payment; queries
- 4 Analyst,



Vendor master and payment initiation; cheque runs/EFT/Wire initiation; running of reports
- 7 Admin, Supports the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable payments in accordance with policies and procedures (index and entry/rejection)
