The Opportunity
Do you have extensive experience in supporting oil and gas field technology? Are you a strong team player with a passion for continuous learning? We are #hiring a Sr. OT Infrastructure Analyst for our Calgary head office. Based in Calgary, this role will report directly to the Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operations and be an integral part of the IT / IS Business Unit.
This role is a critical technology support position bridging IT and OT , focusing on managing field technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational systems. You will work collaboratively to develop solutions, support network operations, manage applications, and ensure robust security across industrial control systems. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive user support, handle technology changes, and document service requests and incident resolutions. You will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
What you will do
- Document requirements for operational demands coordinating with the IT / IS team to develop fit for purpose solutions while maintaining excellent working relationships
- Support field networking including LAN, WAN and mobility
- Support Operations Technology (OT) networks
- Manage and support field technology applications and application servers including licensing and support agreements
- Manage facility requirements and support for field communication
- Support automation with ICS / OT system technology
- Support OT Cybersecurity Program initiatives
- Understand and document ICS architecture, data flows, access control requirements
- Support field technology vulnerability and patch management activities
- Support ICS backup protection and malware defense
- Steward and document the timely fulfillment of service requests and resolution of incidents
- Manage field technology changes, problems, improvement opportunities and enhancements
- Provide in-person and remote support to field users
- Assist with onsite end user & infrastructure support
What you will bring
- A diploma or degree in computer science, networking, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting oil & gas field technology
- Experience with administering and supporting AWS environments
- Strong understanding and experience supporting networks, firewalls, and communication technologies
- Strong understanding of field automation systems including PLC, HMI, DCS etc.
- Microsoft 365 application suite experience
- Proactive planning and project management skills
- A self-starter with a proven track record for working with minimal supervision and able to execute work independently
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to establish and maintain good relations with employees at all levels within the organization
- Experience managing vendor relationships and associated work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Field travel is required
