Real Property Information Systems Manager

Organizational Unit: Real Property Planning and Management

Classification: RCO

Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework).



Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per week or a minimum of 60% of their regular work schedule at their own expense.

The Role

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, engineering, business, or public administration.

- Extensive* experience in IM/IT project implementation including areas such as systems analysis, systems implementation and software development life cycle.
- Significant** experience in managing, supervising, mentoring, developing and directing a team.




- Experience developing and enforcing IM/IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
- Significant** experience in providing strategic and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders and management.
- Experience in implementing best practices for enterprise system operations and continually seek opportunities for process improvement.
- Experience with incorporation of change management practices in the implementation of new business architecture or other business process updates to existing information systems.

* Extensive experience is defined as a minimum of five (5) years.
** Significant experience is defined as two (2) to five (5) years.

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:

- Solid knowledge of information systems,



services and operating systems concepts on a variety of computer platforms.
- Solid knowledge of project management frameworks and techniques, scope development, workload planning, budgeting and execution.
- Solid knowledge of information management and business intelligence tools, principles and practices relating to program management and/or real property.
- Strong ability to research, analyze and summarize complex data and situations and communicate results and conclusions clearly.
- Knowledge and understanding of government policies and guidelines on information management.

The intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at the RCO-2 or RCO-3 level with a salary range of $82,338 to $136,871.

NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
