Role Overview

WHL is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Talent Recruitment & Sourcing to lead our healthcare practitioner recruitment efforts across Canada and the US. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Talent, this leadership role is responsible for designing and executing a forward-thinking recruitment strategy,



while ensuring both recruiting and marketing efforts align to meet our organization’s hiring goals.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with expertise in talent acquisition and a strong understanding of healthcare recruitment. This role will directly contribute to WHL’s ability to attract, hire, and retain top-tier healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to meet the growing demands of our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy & Execution:

- Design and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy tailored for healthcare practitioners, including doctors and nurses.

- Leverage a mix of traditional and innovative recruitment methods, such as direct outreach, job boards, social media campaigns, trade shows, and paid advertisements.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing recruitment team to achieve ambitious hiring goals.

- Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development to ensure continuous improvement in recruitment performance.





- Set clear performance targets (KPIs) for the team and individual recruiters, regularly assessing progress.

Marketing Integration:

- Collaborate with marketing teams to synchronize recruitment efforts with broader brand strategies, optimizing spend and messaging to attract high-quality candidates.

- Ensure recruitment marketing initiatives are effectively driving a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.

Analytics & Optimization:

- Monitor and analyze key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, using data insights to continually refine and improve recruitment processes.

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing feedback and metrics to enhance efficiency and success rates.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership teams,



aligning recruitment strategies with organizational goals and business needs.

- Represent WHL at industry events, trade shows, and career fairs to enhance brand visibility and strengthen the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice.

Technology & Tools Management:

- Oversee the implementation and use of recruitment technologies, CRM systems, and applicant tracking tools to streamline hiring processes.

- Manage relationships with external recruitment vendors and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards) to maximize sourcing capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven leadership experience in talent acquisition, with a strong focus on healthcare recruitment and a deep understanding of healthcare industry needs.





- Track record of building and managing high-performing recruitment teams with a clear focus on results.

- Expertise in recruitment marketing strategies and tools, with a solid understanding of how to integrate marketing and sourcing efforts.

- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to make strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Proficiency in recruitment technologies, CRM systems, and performance tracking tools.

- Ability to work EST hours, with flexibility to manage occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
