Our research team is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to concentrate on manuscript preparation from data collected from a large, multi-centre Canadian study investigating COVID-19 vaccinations in patients with hematologic malignancy. We are looking for someone with experience in medical writing and manuscript preparation who could prepare several manuscripts for submission/publication. Work on these manuscripts would include ability to conduct relevant background literature review, write up all sections of the manuscript including results and analysis under guidance of the research team and with help from our statistician, submit to relevant journals and help with revisions again under guidance of the team.
Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science related field or equivalent.
- Experience with medical writing and manuscript preparation, candidates selected for interview will be asked to provide a sample of previous manuscripts that have been published.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Follow guidance and outlines provided by the PIs and Research Team.
- Organization skills to balance several manuscripts at same time.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to meet demanding deadlines.
- Computer skills: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint). Be familiar with PubMed for literature review.
- Experience with reference managers / software.
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the EPIC electronic medical record for chart review and data entry.
- Experience with ethics board (REB) procedures.
Compensation Pay Range
Min: $33.342/hr – Max: $44.456/hr
