Position Summary
The Recruitment Assistant is a member of the Employee Services team responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition team through year-round & Stampede time full cycle recruitment initiatives and projects. This is a busy and fast paced position with multiple areas of focus. The Recruitment Assistant will gain experience in the HR field providing recruitment support.
Please note: This is a Seasonal term ending in August 2025.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in end to end recruitment process, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling in-person interviews, conducting reference checks, and inputting employee data into the HRIS system.
- Provide assistance during large scale interview and selection events
- Assist new employees with instruction and documentation surrounding new hire paperwork completion, system access and employment information
- Collaborate with organizational departments to investigate and resolve recruitment queries from employees and management.
- Perform various administrative tasks such as: create and maintain spreadsheets, schedules , creating and sending offer letters,
- Support HR reception and administration team as needed
- Provide assistance in other HR areas as required
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have worked in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities and will hold the following qualifications:
- Co-op eligible student in Business, Human Resources, Administration or related fields
- Experience working in full cycle recruitment is preferable
- Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential
- Excellent organizational skills , strong attention to detail and a comfortability working through multiple competing deadlines and projects
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Previous experience working within an HRIS or ATS preferred
