The Executive Director, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, will oversee human, physical, and financial resources to ensure high-quality resident care. They will manage daily operations, resident care, and serve as the official spokesperson for the Home. The Executive Director will also develop, implement, and monitor privacy policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards,
balancing privacy needs with business requirements. As Privacy Officer, their contact information will be shared within the Home and to the public.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management to set mission, vision, values, and annual goals.
- Lead the development of interdisciplinary special programs.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and collective agreements.
- Assist in recruiting and managing key staff and performance reviews.
- Address HR, risk management, resident care, and fiscal matters.
- Support marketing, public relations, and participate in policy committees.
- Oversee operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures, and lead funding initiatives.
- Monitor quality improvement programs, identify risks, and review incidents.
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation (e.g., PHIPA).
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree (minimum 3 years) or diploma (minimum 2 years) in health/social services.
- Completed or enrolled in a long-term care administration course (100+ hours).
- Proven management experience in long-term care (LTC).
- Experience with electronic health records and computer applications.
- Knowledge of labor relations, privacy laws (e.g., PHIPA), and applicable legislation.
- 3+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in health/social services or related fields.
- Strong understanding of organizational practices and privacy compliance.
Requirements:
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Background Check (or willingness to obtain).
- TB test or chest X-ray as per Public Health requirements.
- Two supervisory references.
- Up-to-date with recommended immunizations.
- Italian-speaking ability is an asset.
