Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Specialist with extensive experience in migrating data from both SAP and non-SAP applications.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, HCM applications, and various non-ERP systems.
- You will be responsible for managing and executing data migration projects, ensuring seamless integration and transformation of data into S/4HANA and other target environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Migration Expertise:
- Lead data migration efforts from SAP and non-SAP applications, including ECC, S/4HANA, and HCM systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for migrating data efficiently and accurately,
minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
Tool Proficiency:
- Utilize a range of data migration tools, both SAP-standard and third-party, to facilitate seamless data transfer.
- Experience with cloud-based applications such as Ariba and HCM, ensuring smooth data transition to these platforms.
Conversion Object Determination:
- Identify and define the necessary conversion objects required for successful S/4HANA migration activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure all conversion objects are accurately mapped and configured.
Data Object Understanding:
- Possess a deep understanding of data objects within both ECC and S/4HANA systems.
- Analyze current data structures and develop methods to optimize them for the new environment.
Data Conversion and Transformation:
- Lead data conversion activities, transforming data as needed during the loading process to meet the requirements of the target system.
- Ensure that all data transformations maintain data quality and integrity.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT,
business analysts, and project managers, to ensure all migration activities align with business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on progress, challenges, and resolutions during migration projects.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Quickly identify and resolve data migration issues, minimizing impact on project timelines and business operations.
- Develop contingency plans and implement solutions to address unforeseen challenges during the migration process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data migration projects involving SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and HCM applications.
- Strong proficiency in data migration tools, both SAP and non-SAP, with experience in cloud applications.
- In-depth understanding of data conversion and transformation processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
