We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op Student for our facility in Cambridge, Ontario for the Spring/Summer, 2025 co-op work term (May – August).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
Assist lead manufacturing and welding engineers to execute nuclear contract work.

Assist with reviewing and/or creating manufacturing and welding shop instruction procedures.

Review manufacturing drawings and develop fabrication methods.

Investigate non-conforming components and assist in implementing approved corrective actions.

Assist in developing weld procedure qualifications, testing and reporting.

Metallurgical examination of weld material research & development, including but not limited to, carbon steel, stainless steel, and Inconel super alloys.





Development and design of new machinery and tooling in consultation with shop personnel and Design Engineering.

Design shop lifting, rigging and other structural components through the use of hand calculations and FEA software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least be in a third year of Mechanical Engineering program.

Knowledge of materials (ME215 or ME230) would be an asset.

Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication (ME340) would be an asset.

Proficient in MS Office applications: Word and Excel.

Some experience in Solid

Works and/or AutoCAD and detailing drawings.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Proven problem solving and decision making abilities.

Commitment to continuous improvement.

Practical hands-on experience using common hand tools.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]]
at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[25.00]] and $[[29.00]] per hour.

However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
