Opportunity for Cardiologist in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada
Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) is currently seeking a qualified Cardiologist.
The Cardiologist are MRP for patients in a 24-bed medical unit and provide outpatient care in the community. As a support the facility is equipped with two cardiac catheterization labs and operates a robust program that conducts around 2,200 diagnostic angiograms and more than 1,000 percutaneous coronary interventions each year. We maintain a primary PCI program available 24/7 and are currently collaborating with the University Health Network in Toronto to establish a local cardiac surgery program.
Position Description:
The selected candidate will join a team of 4 cardiologists and will also take on general cardiology on-call duties, along with participating in the outpatient clinic. An academic position with NOSMU will be offered, allowing for teaching opportunities at both the graduate and post-graduate levels. Additionally, there will be research opportunities in partnership with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Research Institute (TBRHRI).
Specific Skills:
Candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Preference will be given to those who either hold or are eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Cardiology, or Internal Medicine with experience providing cardiology care in the past...
