The location in Surrey, (British Columbia, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Material Handling Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent.
Overview:
The Material Handling Supervisor is responsible for safety, planning, organizing and directing the work force in his/her section to ensure that these functions are carried out in a safe, efficient manner and at minimum cost, including the responsibility for the assurance of the mill water supply, training of employees, and quality of pulp and paper. The Supervisor must conform to all ISO standards, DOT, WCB, WHMIS, Waste Management, and transportation and handling of dangerous goods regulations.
The Material Handling Supervisor coordinates the arrival of ships, barges, boxcars and containers to control the inventories of 450,000 tonnes of Kraft pulp and 225,000 tonnes of paper.
