We are seeking a detail-oriented and well organized Dental Office Administrator to join our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Team! We prioritize exceptional patient care in a welcoming and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in managing appointment schedules, maintaining efficient office operations, and ensuring exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker.
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
- Process and triage referrals in a timely matter.
- Create and respond to office emails.
Uploading emailed referrals and radiographs from referring dentists into patients electronic charts.
- Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions and insurance claims.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and administrative procedures in a dental setting is essential.
- Quick typing skills essential, the ability to transcribe consultation notes into our electronic medical record system efficiently and quickly is required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, particularly Tracker, is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations in a healthcare and fast-paced environment is an advantage.
