And we live it too.THE ROLEAs the Pension, Benefits, and Wellness Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and managing the Organization’s wellness, return to work, and recognition programs.
You will also manage the implementation of the Organization’s Defined Benefit Pension Plan and Group Benefits Program, including the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program. You will research, analyze and develop wellness and return to work strategies, tools and objectives taking into consideration the various businesses and environmental realities of the Organization. You will research, plan, develop, recommend, implement and evaluate wellness and return to work initiatives to reduce health risks and absence costs as well as to encourage healthy workplace lifestyles. You will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and advice regarding pension, benefits, wellness and return to work programs, initiatives, policies and procedures. You will manage the day-to-day operations as well as legislated and regulated components of the programs. You will prepare and deliver presentations on pension, benefits, wellness and return to work programs and liaise with internal stakeholders and external organizations, such as consultants, insurance companies, government departments, and agencies.
You will develop and implement communication, training, and briefing materials for the programs. As the Pension, Benefits and Wellness Manager, you will manage the Return to Work Support Program (RTWSP) expenses, and authorize and administer financial transactions/commitments within an approved budget. You will assess the risks and potential return on investment of employing additional absence management and return to work tools.QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, AND several years of experience in human resources, pension and benefits, managing wellness programs or a related field AND Professional designation in pension and/or benefits, an asset AND Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS) certification or equivalent,
an asset Experience In planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating the pension, benefits, wellness and return to work programs In developing, drafting, editing, applying, evaluating, interpreting and implementing policies, guidelines and procedures In developing and conducting communication plans and presentations In project management In illness and/or disability case management In interpreting defined benefit pension plan provisions In data gathering and analysis In analyzing wellness data and finding solutions to issues In risk assessment In budget administration In personnel administration Competencies, Skills and Abilities Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSEnglish or French essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset Reading: Advanced Writing:
