You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks.
With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets.
You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance)
standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed.
You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

What you need to know about this position: This position reports to the Quality Assurance leader (lab).
The Quality Assurance Lab Technician will be responsible for working with the Quality Assurance department to ensure all ingredients meet the specifications of the Company.

Experience in basic lab equipment, preferably with work experience in a scientific environment
Education / Certifications: Post-Secondary diploma in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance area is required, Engineering and Food Science is preferred.
2 years minimum work experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance environment is preferred.
Job specific requirements: Strong computer skills
(Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams) including Windows software and plant informational systems (SAP, Share
Point).
Ensure that raw and packaging materials conform to their specifications
Aid in the disposition of non-conforming materials by helping to maintain the hold/release program
Responsible for Allergen control program and Site Kosher Program
Ensure Equipment calibration and verification program will adhere to company standard.
Responsible for maintaining clean and organized lab
Ensure that raw and packaging materials conform to their specifications.
Ensure that test equipment and inspection processes are routinely checked for accuracy
Conduct traceability audits as required and work with plant employees to ensure that any deviations are communicated and follow-up up on
Enter data in Plant Systems and maintain Quality Computer Systems (SAP and QS) to ensure accuracy
Perform micro-swabbing at different areas and maintain/track results and deviations.
Log corrective actions
Technical support to production departments in trouble shooting of production/packaging problems
Any other duties as assigned by the Department Leader.
The successful candidate must be a responsible and reliable self-starter who is capable of working effectively with little supervision.
Must be a strong performer who demonstrates reliability, an excellent attendance record, excellent teamwork and strong self-directed, individual and group work ethic.
Work schedule: Flexibility to work any shift as needed (including weekends).
Availability to start working immediately.
