Our client has an immediate opening for an Integration Development Lead to join their team.

This role will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of secure integration solutions across enterprise applications. The Integration Development Lead will ensure that all integrations are highly performant, scalable, and adhere to stringent security protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices. You will lead a team of Developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure that all integration projects are executed efficiently, securely, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Integration Design & Development

- Lead the design and development of robust , scalable ,



and secure integration solutions between core banking systems, third-party services, and internal applications using MuleSoft and .NET technologies.
- Ensure the integration architecture follows security best practices , including secure data transmission, encryption (at rest and in transit), identity management, and adherence to regulatory security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., APIs, SOAP/REST web services, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, middleware platforms), while embedding security controls throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with the information security team to implement necessary safeguards, such as data masking , and others to prevent security breaches.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration developers, ensuring they follow secure coding practices and perform security testing on all integration components.

2. Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of integration projects,



from gathering requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring that security considerations are included at every stage.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams , including business analysts, project managers, and technical leads, to define integration requirements, scope, deliverables, and security compliance needs.
- Ensure integration projects meet security standards and are executed within budget and on schedule, while managing security risks effectively.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the progress of integration projects, highlighting potential security risks and mitigation strategies.

3. System Performance & Security Troubleshooting

- Monitor the performance and security posture of integration solutions in production,



proactively identifying and resolving issues related to data flow, system connectivity, and security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure integration solutions are highly available, performant , and secure , adhering to service-level agreements (SLAs) and security policies .
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex integration and security-related issues , ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Ensure that all incident response procedures related to integration failures or security breaches are followed, and root cause analysis is performed promptly.

4. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications , data mappings, workflows, deployment procedures,



and security controls implemented in the integrations.
- Ensure the integration development team follows appropriate documentation practices and includes security policies and compliance requirements in all project artifacts.
- Share best practices on secure integration design , troubleshooting, and performance with other teams, including software developers, system architects, and business stakeholders.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in integration technologies, cybersecurity , and banking IT, evaluating and implementing new security tools , frameworks, and approaches as appropriate.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the security, efficiency , and scalability of integration solutions, including integrating security automation tools into the development pipeline (e.g., vulnerability scanning, static analysis).




- Implement CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automating security testing to ensure faster, secure deployment of integration solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, IIBA, or integration-related certifications) is a plus.

Experience :

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in integration development, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role .
- Strong experience with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft (nice to have) or .NET ) for designing, building, and managing secure APIs and integrations.
- Proficiency with .NET technologies for integration development, including experience with ASP.NET , C# , and SQL Server .




- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns , web services (REST/SOAP), messaging protocols (e.g., JMS, MQ), and security technologies like OAuth , JWT , and API security .
- Solid understanding of banking or insurance systems and regulatory requirements , especially related to data security , compliance , and payment systems .
- Hands-on experience with integration testing , troubleshooting , and ensuring high-performance and secure solutions .

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in .NET technologies, including designing and developing secure APIs and integrations.
- Strong development skills in C# , ASP.NET , and Microsoft SQL Server .
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs , SOAP web services , JSON , XML , and other integration data formats.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS , Azure , GCP ) and cloud-based integration solutions.




- Hands-on experience with middleware , ETL tools , and DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control).
- In-depth knowledge of encryption , secure data transmission , and security protocols relevant to integration solutions.
- Experience with security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, SonarQube) and security automation techniques is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a development team in following secure coding practices .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, business, and security teams .
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in security-critical environments .
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of delivering secure solutions on time.





Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Banking/Financial Services : Previous experience in Banking or Financial services environment is highly preferred, particularly in areas such as payments, core banking systems, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
- Certifications : Relevant integration, middleware, or security certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) , AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
- Agile Methodology : Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
