I'm Hugo, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the island of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for a Director of Finance for my client, an entertainment company.
This is a 12-month temporary position.
- Training, supervision, support and day-to-day management of a division of the Finance Department
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements for various companies
- Prepare and review complete month-end process under tight deadlines
- Analyze and explain monthly variances vs. budget
- Participate in establishing budgets
- Develop tools for monitoring financial and operational results to provide managers with the tools they need to target profitability opportunities.
- Inform operations teams about their financial results and the profitability of their activities
- Participate in the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Develop, document and implement business process improvements related to the ERP system.
- Maintain and apply existing internal controls (financial security, compliance with operational and financial procedures).
- Coordinate ad-hoc requests from senior management and deliver results
- Respond to requests from external parties (NHL, governments, and other stakeholders)
- Prepare year-end audit files and coordinate external auditor activities
- Participate in the development and support of the division's strategic plan
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar position
- University degree in accounting
- Accounting title
- Autonomy, initiative, meticulousness, rigor, leadership and team spirit
- Creativity and talent for communication
- Experience in implementing ERP systems
- Computer skills (MS Office) and mastery of various software packages such as Excel, Great Plains, Business Central
- Dynamic, rigorous, detail-oriented
- Strong sense of responsibility and analytical skills
