Job Description We are seeking an experienced Manager of Patient Food Services to oversee our operations in Milton and Georgetown healthcare facilities. In this role, you will lead the food service teams across both locations, ensuring high-quality nutritional care for patients while maintaining operational excellence.
Direct and coordinate all aspects of patient food service operations across Milton and Georgetown facilities
Develop and implement standardized procedures for food preparation, safety, and service delivery
Manage and mentor food service staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Create and optimize patient menus in collaboration with clinical dietitians
Oversee inventory management and budget control for both facilities
Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety standards
Coordinate with healthcare teams to meet patients' dietary requirements
Monitor quality control measures and implement improvements as needed
Manage vendor relationships and contracts
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
5+ years of progressive experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
Advanced Food Handler's Certification mandatory
membership in Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) mandatory
Proven experience in multi-site management
Strong knowledge of healthcare dietary requirements and nutritional standards
Demonstrated expertise in food safety regulations and healthcare facility standards
Excellent budget management and cost control skills
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing large teams
Proficiency in food service management systems and inventory control
Experience with quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel between Milton and Georgetown locations
Additional Information Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (subject to change based on operational requirements) Occasional travel to other sites required
Salary: $51.537 to $63.851 per hour
