This 12 month contract senior level position will support and lead various design projects including advertisements, store signage and promotional materials and ensuring that our brand guidelines are followed. Working closely with the Manager, Art Direction & Design, the Graphic Designer will collaborate with the team of designers and liaise with external design partners in order to execute our vision throughout all departments and elevate the customer experience. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers.
All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.Major Responsibilities:Execution of print and digital creative marketing initiatives from concept, design, production and execution.Develop new concepts that are high quality, innovative, inspiring and on-brand.Collaborate and effectively communicate project stages with various internal and some external stakeholders.Assist in mentoring designers and production artists on the design team, foster high morale, teamwork, and productivity through personal leadership.Continually seek process improvements and clean file management.May be required to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.QualificationsTypically requires completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in Graphic Design plus 5 years of experience in a lead designer role or previous advertising/marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional experience with motion, video and signage will be considered an asset.Strong communication skills, leadership, project management and experience in leading projects from planning to implementation through to completion,
in a fast-paced environment.Proficient with full Adobe Creative Suite.Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana) to streamline workflows.Strong attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality work.Flexible to travel for day trips or short stays, with reliable transportation.Work & Sensory Environment:Providing service to several people or departments, working under manysimultaneous deadlines.Occasional use of measuring devices, small ladders, and utility knives.Possible exposure to eye strain from computer terminals.Exposure to distractions caused by open office noise and frequent interruptions.Accommodation is available upon request for applicants and employees with disabilities.
