F008 - Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist to develop wired and wireless network on multiple sites in

Our mining client is looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure Administrator to develop wired and wireless network on multiple sites in Northeast, BC.

Note: Permanent full-time position and will need relocation to Northeast BC

This job requires a regular presence in the head office in Northern BC, and on the mine sites to maintain and improve the Mesh Network in the Mine PITs, inter-site, and inter-building communication via radios and fiber optics.

Must Have:

Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, comparable industry certifications
5+ years' experience in IT roles in a Senior position (Admin or Engineer) with hands-on experience in multi-site network infrastructure implementation




10+ years' experience with Cisco Switches (Meraki), Palo Alto Firewall, Field Area Networks, Rajant Networks, and Cambium Networks
10+ years' experience and skills with windows servers, VMWare and fiber/copper networks
Expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, VOIP, and WWAN design and implementation
Experience with repeater stations, tower infrastructure, Fiber/Copper, and (PTP)/PMP Radios for Data/Voice services
CCNA and MS certification or equivalent.
Knowledge of Cyber Security and implementation and optimization of the security policy (firewall)
Extensive knowledge of field area wireless networks. Mesh Networks with Ragant Radios.
Experience in datacenter server and storage implementation
Willingness to work or relocate to Tumbler Ridge, BC
Valid driver's license

Nice to Have:

Rajant Certified Network Administrator (RCNA)
CISCO Certification for Network and Security (CCNP)

Role:
The role involves troubleshooting and improving network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, gateways, wireless APs, and point-to-point radio communication.




The position requires hands-on work in network discovery, port mapping, and security policy implementation.
The candidate will work closely with the Senior Director of Technology and collaborate with the network support team to ensure effective network operations across various sites, including the head office and mining operations.
