Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Technical Writer to update business and technical process documents.
Specifically, this resource will provide ongoing technical writing expertise to ensure that all user guides, system documentation, and operational procedures are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with industry best practices. This work is operational in nature and will focus on clarifying complex business and technical processes, enhancing existing documentation frameworks, and creating new documentation resources as systems evolve and features are introduced.
Tasks:
Review and refine existing documentation, including user guides, system overviews, standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Develop new documentation materials as required, ensuring that technical content is presented in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner.
Maintain version control of all documentation to reflect current functionalities, security protocols, and performance standards.
Collaborate with development teams, QA specialists, and operational staff to gather necessary technical details and confirm accuracy .
Ensure compliance with established documentation standards, style guides, and accessibility requirements.
Provide advice and mentorship to team members on best practices in documentation and knowledge transfer methods.
Must-haves:
5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer
Previous working experience for the Government of Canada
Reliability clearance
