About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart.



Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Purpose Reporting to the Site Supervisor or designate, Rope Access Technicians will ensure the safe and efficient execution of rope access duties at the Brucejack Mine site. This includes adhering to high-level safety protocols, company values, utilizing advanced rope access techniques in mountainous terrain, gaining and setting up access to large scale rock cliffs, participating in advanced rescue techniques and actively participating in team operations with the goal of assisting in the advancement of mine access through eliminating rockfall hazards to road construction crews and future access. The role is critical in maintaining the structural integrity and safety of the mine, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency




The Brucejack Surface Operations team is recruiting for Rope Access Technicians, levels 1-3. The applicable wage is contingent upon the candidate's certification and experience, ranging from $38.48/hour, $46.96/hour, and $55.44/hour. Please note that these positions are being offered as temporary seasonal roles with an expected term of 4-5 months
Essential Duties Perform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
Geotechnical operations including rock scaling using various methods (including scaling bars, air bagging, rock drilling)
Implement proper Rope Access procedures for all rope access projects;
Daily Equipment and Rigging Inspections;
Implementing and following Field Safety program;
Daily Hazard reporting;
Monitoring weather conditions and related operational hazards;




Assisting with the maintenance of plant infrastructure and communications towers
Participating in daily safety meetings
Other duties and responsibilities to support the success of the Brucejack Mine.
Training & Experience Position requirements for the role include but are not limited to:
Valid Sprat/IRATA training (Level 1, 2, or 3) is required
Fall Arrest Training (provided onsite if required)
Previous geotechnical experience at a remote industrial operation.
Level 3 Occupational First Aid training is desirable but not required
Grade 12 or GED with a valid driver’s license is preferred
Additional skills requirements include:
Expert knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Positive approach to work and supporting others to be successful
Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs




Able to follow all safe work practices
Able to follow direction from site leadership or designate
Able to work long shifts outside in variable mountain weather conditions

Working Conditions Work at remote location (camp) on a 13 days on/13 days off rotation
Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12 hour shifts
Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions
Able to work in close quarters with the team

The expected salary range for this role is CA$38.48 - $55.44 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
