Our utility client is seeing a Senior Solution Architect to define enterprise system architecture for an F&O; implementation within Microsoft D365 for our large utilities client.

Location: Montreal (Anjou)
Hybrid: 1-2 days in-office per week
Contract Term: 12 months

Context
Undergoing a technological transformation to align the organization's application platforms with the introduction of new business strategies and accelerated growth. The Solution Architect will lead the definition of the solution architecture for the portfolio as part of this technological transformation. The Solution Architect will also use and follow the definition of architecture principles, roadmap elements, and guidelines.

Role




As a Solution Architect, we will rely on your leadership skills to drive the technological alignment of our platforms with our business strategies as part of our technological transformation. You will be responsible for defining the solution architecture for our portfolio, while guiding and advising our business and technology teams to ensure the coherence and efficiency of our systems.
Your role? As an expert in your field, you will be at the heart of major architectural decisions, ensuring a comprehensive vision of current and future systems. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to define the current and transition state models of our systems, ensuring that the chosen technologies meet the company's strategic needs. You will also guide technologists on design decisions and ensure that best integration and development practices are followed.

Responsibilities:
Develop the definition of the strategic technology roadmap, representing the alignment of technology with the portfolio's strategic needs.




Contribute to the analysis of industry technology trends that could benefit the portfolio.
Build strong partnerships with the portfolio's business and technology stakeholders.
Facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders to understand how current systems support the portfolio's business functions.
Cultivate transformation and incremental improvement opportunities to strengthen the position of systems supporting the portfolio's business functions.
Present strategic and tactical cross-domain and cross-system solution design options and recommendations to decision-makers.
Mediate cross-system design decisions, such as functional placement and integration that define or cross system boundaries.
Capture the current and transition state architectures of the portfolio through the definition of views and models.




Facilitate the cross-functional evaluation of technology products being acquired for the portfolio.
Manage the definition of technology standards applicable to the portfolio's technologies.
Manage the definition of technology life cycles that make up the portfolio.
Mentor and guide technologists on intra-system design decisions.

Ideal Requirements:
Experience in defining enterprise system architecture, including ERP/CRM implementation (preference for Microsoft D365).
Strong understanding of system integration practices, APIs, and cloud platforms.
Experience in creating and managing architectural models and views for a technology portfolio.
Strong ability to facilitate and guide stakeholders, with leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication skills (English, French / oral and written) and multi-system project management.
Mastery of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF,



Zachman, or ArchiMate is an asset.
Previous experience in a role requiring coding/programming as part of an enterprise-level initiative is an asset.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.

Interview Process:
1st Round - 30min - IT Director & HR Director (In French)
2nd Round - 30 min Technical interview with Sr. Architect (English)
