Reporting to the Manager, Network Services, the Senior Security Specialist is responsible for leading the transition to a unified network access control (NAC) solution. The outstanding candidate will possess strong expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and hands-on experience with migrating ClearPass and Forescout environments to Cisco ISE! The ideal individual will have a deep understanding of security best practices, NAC, and the ability to manage sophisticated migration projects in enterprise environments.This contract role is based in Vancouver, BC in a hybrid work environment or can be performed fully remote.ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader,



adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresDesign, configure, deploy, and lead Cisco ISE solutions to secure network access and implement security policiesLeverage Cisco ISE features such as profiling, posture assessment, and authentication to meet organizational security requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cisco ISE deploymentsAssist the Teck technology owner in the migration of ClearPass and Forescout environments to Cisco ISEConduct assessments of existing ClearPass and Forescout configurations and develop a comprehensive migration strategyEnsure seamless transition with minimal downtime while maintaining security and compliance standardsDefine and detail standard processes for NAC policies and ensure alignment with organizational goalsOptimize NAC for wired, wireless, and VPN environments; security will focus on Tags rather than IP/VLAN assignmentCollaborate with multi-functional teams, including network, IT, and security operations,



to ensure successful integrationDeliver training and mentorship to internal teams on Cisco ISE operations and standard processesBuild and maintain detailed documentation for migration plans, configurations, and operational processesProvide periodic updates to partners on project progress and post-migration performanceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)CCNP-Security, CCIE Security or Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core are preferredExtensive hands-on experience with Cisco ISE in enterprise environmentsConfirmed expertise in migrating ClearPass and Forescout solutions to Cisco ISESolid grasp of NAC principles, including 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, and posture assessmentFamiliarity with network protocols and security technologies such as VLANs, firewalls, and VPNsExperience running large-scale, multi-site NAC implementationsKnowledge of compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001,



PCI DSS)Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) to streamline NAC operations is considered an assetFamiliarity with other Cisco security products such as Umbrella, Duo, or Firepower is advantageousProject management skills or certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is considered an asset
