We believe in the potential of every young parent to become a transformative presence in their homes and communities. The Associate Director will report to and work alongside the Young Parents Director (YPD) to provide strategic, communication and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership
- Assist in providing team leadership, support and accountability to the Young Parents Team (YPT)
- Assist in the preparation of Foundational and Inspirational (Operational) Plans and budget, Annual Ministry Review and other reports.
- Develop online ministry strategy and campaigns for website and social media platforms
Supervision & Equipping
- Recruit and oversee select staff and volunteers in Young Parents programming
- Facilitate annual volunteer training
- Work collaboratively with the YPT to plan and implement program curriculum
Special Events & Projects:
- Assist with fundraisers and training events, including promotion, logistics, preparation, registration and follow-up
- Provide logistical and admin support for special YPD projects
Communication:
- Assist with internal and external communication with YPT and community partners
- Maintain web content and implementation of social media strategies
Administration
- Complete and approve bills & expense requisitions
- Assist in allocating and tracking of program budget expenses
- Manage Young Parents database and records
Requirements:We are looking for someone with:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Strong personal spiritual vitality and commitment to Jesus Christ
- Compassionate heart toward young parents, their children and families
- Excellent leadership and administrative skills
- Adept at technology and social media
- Team player with strong initiative
- Active participation in a local church body
Position Information:This is a full-time position requiring minimally 28 hours/week (with the opportunity to work up to 35 hours/week). The salary of this staff position is determined on a scale based on education and experience and is 100% funded on a missionary basis – requiring the successful applicant to fundraise and gather a personal support team.
