Service Specialist/Kitchen Assistant - (K-807)

The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking a service specialist/kitchen assistant to support our day-to-day operations. This position is under direction of the Executive Chef and will be based in Toronto, ON. The position will be based in Toronto, ON for the duration of the Major League baseball season (March-November).

These are seasonal roles aligned with the baseball season and schedule, spanning from approximately March to November 2025. These positions are part-time contracts

Responsibilities

· Assist with day-to-day nutrition services, as outlined by the Executive Chef

· Assist with NSF Certified for Sport supplement inventory and distribution, including smoothies

· Assist kitchen team with meal set up





· Maintain clean eating areas by cleaning and sanitizing throughout meal services

· Assist with dishwashing or cleaning during high volume periods, as needed.

· Manage three fueling stations (stocking, receiving, organization, and inventory of various food items)

· Assist with other duties assigned by Executive Chef

Requirements

· Highly motivated and excellent problem solver

· Ability to work a non-standard work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays

· Ability to work within multicultural populations

· Prolonged periods walking or standing

· Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 50 pounds (22.6 kg) at a time.

· Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

· Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.

· Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.

· Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.

· Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.

· Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
