Job Summary
The Membership Sales Specialist reports directly to the General Manager of 10XTO and is responsible for welcoming and engaging with prospective members, cultivating new membership sales, as well as providing excellent service to existing members. We are looking for someone who is friendly, resourceful, and creative to help drive sales initiatives forward and to engage with prospective and current members.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling club memberships
- Proactively generate leads for potential individual and corporate members
- Driven self-starter who is adaptable to working with varied personality types
- Goal orientated and has track record of meeting sales objectives and targets
- Collaborate with both internal teams and prospects
- Able to think on feet and effectively communicate possible solutions
- Host lead generating events and workshops
- Conduct pre-planning activities each month including strategic outreach, for securing member referrals
- Build rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members
- Proactively provide analysis of membership-related trends and communicate information with the team
- Lead research in deepening member value and engagement
- Ensure efficient and effective systems for membership
- Ensure superior customer service
Qualifications
Previous sales experience preferred
An entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly disposition
Personal passion for health and fitness
Strong time management skills and practices
College Diploma or Bachelor degree in Sport or Business Administration, or a related field, is preferred
Experience working with Club Automation membership software preferred
Previous experience or knowledge of fitness facility or athletic club operations and sales is preferred.
Flexible shift availability including evenings, weekends and holidays. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
