Geography and Careers Teacher
40% - Part-Contract
Commencing immediately until June 2025
We are seeking a Geography Teacher to teach the Grade 9 Exploring Canadian Geography course and a Grade 9 Careers Teacher. This position will be paid on the faculty grid at 40%. Additionally, we invite the successful candidate to take on supply teaching opportunities on alternate days through the end of the school year.
Who You Are:
- Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in Geography
- Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications
- A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an asset
- A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning
- Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.
