Bethesda’s ABA Services requires one Part Time ABA Interventionist.

Working to promote Bethesda’s values, vision and mission statement, the role of the Interventionist will be to provide short term services and supports based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)



to families and their children (up to age 18) who have a diagnosis within Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some of the key responsibilities of this position will be:

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Develop curriculum and resources for individual and group based treatment services and recreational services.
- Facilitate community connections, program registrations and referrals and share resources.
- Assist caregivers completing funding applications and reconciliation forms and program registration documentation.
- Lead facilitation of group based skill building intervention services with clinical supervision.
- Assist with the implementation of group based Respite Services.
- Support children/youth engaging in risk behaviour while remaining calm, neutral, and effectively using non-violent crisis intervention strategies and and following behaviour protocols/plans (where applicable).
- Provide individual ABA skill building treatment services with clinical supervision.
- Write Reports, Programs and Service Plans with clinical supervision.
- Review service options with new referrals.
- Complete intake forms.




- Develop resources and program materials.
- Complete Quality Assurance Measures/Tools.
- Facilitates appropriate internal and community referrals.
- Maintain client records and complete documentation as required.
- Provide Brief Clinical Consultation Services.
- Provide Resource Consultation Services.
- Investigate ideas and plan the integration of engaging community activities into service options.
- Collaborate with Community Partners, and Interdisciplinary Teams.
- Provide Coaching and Support to Caregivers, Community Partners, CYS Team Members, and Students.
- Develop and facilitate training opportunities for Community Partners.
- Facilitate Caregiver and Children and Youth Workshops.
- Conduct assessments and identify treatment goals with clinical supervision.
- Collect and analyze data




- Actively participate in team meetings and provide suggestions, creative ideas and recommendations for strengthening CYS.
- Actively participate in administrative team meetings.
- Comply with Bethesda policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
- Responsible for reporting all health and safety concerns immediately following the Internal Responsibility System.
- Administrative tasks as required including documentation and resource development
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- University degree in Human Behaviour and/or Developmental Psychology or College diploma and comparable training in a related field.
- Autism and Behavioural Sciences Certificate or a minimum of three years experience providing ABA supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Board Certified Assistant Behavioural Analyst (BCaBA) preferred.




- Knowledge and experience using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principals.
- Experience with data collection and analysis.
- Experience working within a multi disciplinary team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- First Aid Training and CPR Certification.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification.
- Professional Communication Skills: professionally represents the company through strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Teamwork: excels at working with others and communicating with a team to provide the most effective support to clients.
- Problem-Solving: able to navigate challenges and barriers, always looks for potential pitfalls and risks to help mitigate problems ahead of time, and knows when to ask for help.
- Proactive: anticipates and solves problems and issues before they are brought to your attention.
- English




- Fluent in French is an asset
