Marshall Canada requires a Program Specialist, Production in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Projects, this role is responsible for overseeing the production scope of a project, ensuring successful execution within established timelines, budget, and quality standards. The Program Specialist, Production will lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities in the role:
Project Management:
- Coordinate project plans and schedules related to the production activities.
- Monitor and control project progress, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
Project Team Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineering, procurement,
production, and quality assurance.
- Assign responsibilities and provide clear direction to team members to meet project milestones.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between assembly and production teams and the Program Manager.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Regularly report project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project goals.
- Conduct root-cause analyses and resolve production issues promptly.
Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and improve assembly and production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, budgets,
and performance metrics.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Projects.
Apply if you have most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field. · Proven experience in program management within the defense or aerospace industry or production environment.
- Experience in using project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in managing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong understanding of assembly and production processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with defense contract requirements and regulations is highly desirable.
- PMP or relevant project management certifications are a plus.
- Financial acumen
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
