The Intern, Graphic Design, will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of graphic design projects and media here at Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group. This role will actively collaborate with the Brand and Content team to create new ideas, and assist in producing marketing content, social media, and promotional visuals for the Ottawa REDBLACKS, Ottawa 67’s, and other TD Place Brands.
Students who wish to participate in an internship opportunity with Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group must be a part of an accredited post-secondary program where fulfillment of internship credit is required for graduation.
- This internship is available for the following timeframes; please specify the duration of your internship requirements while submitting your application:
- Part-time for six (6) weeks, from March 3, 2025 – April 11, 2025.
- Part-time for four (4) months, from May 2025 to August 2025.
- Candidates must be enrolled in a post secondary education program offering class credits for the internship placement; this is an unpaid position.
What You’ll Do
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using Adobe Suite to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals;
- Collaborate with managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations;
- Assist in producing marketing content, social media, and promotional visuals for both the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Ottawa 67’s;
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines;
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs within the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Ottawa 67’s brand identity;
- Work closely with the graphic design team to come up with new and/or trendy ideas for social media platforms;
- Assist with creation of design templates;
- Contribute to the overall creativity of the organization by pushing the brand in new directions, brainstorming new ideas and playing an active role within the Brand & Content team.
What’s Needed
- Pursuing a post secondary degree or diploma in graphic design;
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of the CFL and OHL an asset.
